چکیده فارسی: یکی از ویژگی‌های جامعۀ جاهلی عرب، اعتقاد و پایبندی به حفظ و صیانت زن در حوزۀ پوشش است. این مسئله گاه - فراتر از پوشش - در قالب مجموعه‌ رفتارهایی ذیل عنوان پرده‌نشینی زن با کاربرد و مفاهیم وسیع‌تری در شعر و لغت عرب به تصویر کشیده شده است. شدت پوشش، اختلاط کمتر با مردان، عفت و عزت، شرم و حیا و مانند آن از ویژگی‌های یک زن پرده‌نشین در ذهن عرب جاهلی بوده و این موضوع با خانه‌نشینی مطلق یا حبس خانگی زن متفاوت است. مهم‌ترین واژگان و اصطلاحات ادبی مرتبط با پرده‌نشینی زن «مُخَدَّرَة»، «مُسَتَّرَة»، «مَقْصُورَة»، «عَقِیلَۀ» و «مُخَبَّأَة» هستند. در ادبیات این دوره، افزون‌بر مثل‌های مشهور عرب در ترویج صیانت و پوشیدگی زن، واژگانی چون «دُرَّة»، «بَیضة» و «دُمْیَة» برای تصویرپردازی و شبیه‌سازی زنان پرده‌نشین، نمادسازی شده که در این پژوهش به آن اشاره می‌شود. دراین‌میان تنها واژه «مُخَدَّرَة» است که در سیر تحولی معنای آن، به عنوان یک مصطلح لغوی از نگاه عرفی دورۀ جاهلیت به حوزۀ فقه اسلامی با شرایط و احکام خاصی تعریف شده و توسعه یافته است.

The Image of Virtuous Woman in the Ignorance Literature

English Abstract: One of the characteristics of Arab’s ignorant community is the belief in preserving the woman in regard with covering or hijab. This matter has often been illustrated above this matter, within the frame of behaviors under the title of virtuousness of woman with more developed applications and concepts in Arab’s literature. The complete and acceptable veil, less communication with men, piety, glory as well as modesty are considered as the characteristics of a virtuous woman in view of ignorant Arab and this issue is against the confining of woman in the house. The most important literary terms related to the purity of woman are “virtuous”, “hidden and veiled”, “enclosed- maqsureh”, “aqileh”, and “mokhaba’eh”. In the literature of this era, it has been utilized the terms such as”dorrah”, “bayzah” and “domyah” towards the illustration of virtuous women besides the well-known phrases among Arabs in this regard and it has been referred to in this research. Nevertheless, there is merely the term “virtuous” being developed and defined as a common and typical term in view of the ignorant in the domain of Islamic jurisprudence via the particular conditions and principles
