چکیده فارسی: تحولات سبک زندگی جوانان در سال‌های اخیر در ایران، به‌تدریج ابعاد گوناگونی به خود گرفته و نه‌تنها ارزش‌ها، که رفتارهای افراد را دستخوش تغییر کرده ‌است. یکی از این تغییرات، حوزۀ روابط جنسی پیش از ازدواج و مناسبات با جنس مخالف است. مطالعۀ حاضر در پی شناسایی فرایند برقراری این روابط و فهم منافع و مضاری است که دو جنس برای ارتباطات دوستانۀ خود و مدیریت آن قایل‌اند. در این پژوهش با 24 تن از پسران و دختران طبقۀ متوسط ساکن تهران مصاحبه شده است. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد - به ترتیب اهمیت - دختران در رابطه به دنبال ازدواج، تأمین نیازهای عاطفی، جنسی، فراغتی و مالی هستند و در ازای آن هزینه‌هایی همچون فرصت‌سوزی، تاریخ انقضا و سوءپیشینه را می‌پردازند. پسران نیز به دنبال تأمین نیازهای جنسی و عاطفی و به تأخیر انداختن ازدواج هستند و در ازای آن سرمایۀ اقتصادی و وقت و انرژی می‌گذارند. ناهمخوانی در منافع و زیان‌های رابطه برای دو جنس، آنها را در برابر یکدیگر قرار می‌دهد و هر کدام روش متفاوتی را برای مدیریت رابطه در پیش می‌گیرند. ازآنجاکه منافع و زیان‌های رابطه برای دختران، بیشتر و به هم مرتبط هستند، تصمیم به برقراری روابط برای آنها با ملاحظات و حساسیت‌های بیشتر ارزشی، هنجاری و اخلاقی همراه است.

Sexual Relationship among Youths before Marriage; Paradigms, Drives, Merits and Demerits

English Abstract: Changing the life style of youths in the recent years in Iran has gradually taken various dimensions and it has affected on the values and behaviors of people. One of these changes is the domain of sexual relationship with the opposite sex before marriage. The present study is to identify the process of making these relationships and appreciating the merits and demerits considered by the two opposite sexes towards the friendly relationship and its management. The results of research illustrates that the girls look for marriage, satisfaction of their emotional , sexual and financial needs respectively, moreover, they have to experience  losing chance, date of expiration and bad record. The boys look for the satisfaction of their sexual and emotional needs and the delay of marriage and they have to forfeit their economic investment, time and energy. This inconsistency between merits and demerits of relationship for the two genders places them in front of each other so that each of them takes a diverse method towards the management of his relationship. Since the merits and demerits of relationship for the girls are more than those of boys and more related to each other, this decision making towards having relationship is along with more considerations and cares regarding the values, norms, and morals.
